አምሀርክ ለስን – አድቨርብ ኦፍ(ኦቭ) ታይም
የአማርኛ ትምህርት – ወቅተ ፍዘግሥ

Adverb ፍዘግሥ (ተውሳከ ግሥ)

ትላንት / ትላንትና tilant / tilantina – yesterday
ትላንት ደወልኩ። tilant dewelku – I called yesterday.

ዛሬ zarae – today
ዛሬ እመጣለሁ። zarae i’meTalehu (i’meTalew) – I’ll come by today.

ነገ nege – tomorrow
ነገ እንገናኝ። nege inigenañ – Let’s meet tomorrow.

አሁን ahun – now
አሁን ያስፈልገኛል ahun yasfeligeñal – I need it now

ያንጊዜ yangeezae – then
ያንጊዜ አልሄኩም yangeezae alhaedkum – I didn’t go then

በኋላ behwala – later
በኋላ እደውላለው behwala idewilalew – I’ll call later
በኋላ ደውልልኝ (m) behwala dewililiñ – Call me later
በኋላ ደውይሊኝ (f) behwala dewiyileeñ – Call me later

ዛሬ ማታ zarae mata – tonight
ዛሬ ማታ እንገናኝ zarae mata inigenañ – Let’s meet tonight

አሁኑኑ ahununu – right now
አሁኑኑ እንሂድ ahununu iniheed – Let’s go right now

ትላንት ማታ tilant mata – last night
ትላንት ማታ ሞከርኩ። tilant mata mokerku – I tried last night.

ዛሬ ጠዋት zarae Tewat – this morning
ዛሬ ጠዋት ደረሱ zarae Tewat deresu – They arrived this morning

የሚቀጥለው ሳምንት yemeeqeTilew samint – next week
የሚቀጥለው ሳምንት እልካለሁ። yemeeqeTilew samint i’likalehu (i’likalew) – I’ll send it next week.

እስካሁን iskahun – still, ever since,
እስካሁን አልደረሰኝም። iskahun aldereseñim – I still haven’t received it.

ገና gena – yet, still
ገና አልተዘጋጀም gena altezegajem – It’s not ready yet

በፍጥነት befiTnet – immediately, quickly, without delay, speedily, swiftly, promptly, fast
በፍጥነት እንዳትነዳ befiTnet indatineda – Don’t drive too fast

ሰሞኑን semonun – within a couple of days, one of these days, these days, currently
ሰሞኑን እንገናኝ semonun inigenañ – Let’s meet up in a couple of days

በቅርብ ጊዜ beqirb gizae – soon, before long, in recent times, lately, just round the corner, shortly, on the horizon
በቅርብ ጊዜ እመጣለሁ beqirb gizae i’meTalehu (i’meTalew) – I’m coming soon

ድሮ diro – in the times gone by, long ago, in the olden times, in earlier times, formerly, in the past
ድሮ ጊዜ ትዝ ይላችኋል? diro geezae tiz yilachihwal – Do you remember the old days?
